How to Use oVice

Shall we chat in our “virtual space”? We hope that you will have a lively conversation in it. We use a service called oVice.

The space is available from 11:30 am – 10 pm (JST/UTC+9) between Sunday, June 20 and Saturday, June 26.

What’s oVice

oVice is a 2D virtual spatial platform that you can use for virtual events, conferences, and so on.

In particular, please note the following operations you will be using often.

Tips for enjoying the space

Updating Your Profile

We recommend updating your profile so you can show who you are by setting your profile picture and adding profile information.

Use Earphones or Headphones

Please use your earphones or headphones when having a conversation to avoid the echo. This will make it easier for others to listen to you.

International Exchange Area

We have set up an “International Exchange Area” at the left bottom of the screen. Those who want to interact with each other speaking or writing in English can gather in this area.

We hope you will share various cultures, topics, thoughts, and so on. Anything outside of WordPress or tech topics is welcome too!

Other Information

We ask you to interact with other participants with respect when having a conversation.

Make sure that you are aware of the Code of Conduct before getting into oVice. It describes appreciated and prohibited behaviors through the event.
